When we were flying into Denver, the first thing we wanted to do was grab a bite to eat. The only issue was google was referring us to places to grab food inside of the airport. My husband and I scoured the internet and found the Moonlight Diner in Denver. This is only about a 10 minute drive from the airport.
The boxcar- shaped resturant brings you back in time, with their vintage decor. This place reminds me alot of like a Jays Diner we have back in Rochester, NY.
When we arrived to the Moonlight Diner, we were starving. We didn’t wait too long to be seated, considering how packed this place was. After we were seated in a cozy booth we looked over the menu. There were plenty of options to choose from, whether that was breakfast food or dinner food. I am the type of person that will always pick breakfast food, it’s always been my favorite.
I ended up ordering the Moonlight Signature Breakfast. It came with two eggs, hasbrowns and pancakes; I ended up upgrading my pancakes to banana walnut. My husband ordered the Moonlight Signature Burger. It came with cheddar & monterey jack cheese, bacon, pickle, lettuce, tomato, ranch dressing and crispy onion straws. He ordered a side of mash potatoes and gravy instead of fries.
Once we ordered, the food didn’t take too long to come out. Let me tell you there was way too much food, but it was delicious considering how starving we were. I could only finish my pancakes and left some of my eggs and hashbrowns, there was so much food I couldnt finish it. My husband said the burger was delicious as well as the mash potatoes! I loved how they put in cripsy onion straws instead of regular onions. This way you aren’t fighting with the onions in your burger and you can enjoy the warm deliciousness this burger has.
If you are starving after a long flight, stop on over to the Moonlight Diner and Bar, near the Denver Airport. I promise you won’t be dissapointed. The Diner is located at 6250 Tower Road Denver, Colorado 80249.
